or ride horseback around the Quelele Lagoon, home to an abundance
of birdlife including egrets, herons, ducks, pelicans, ibis, and

NOBLE: Enjoy the spectacular
setting of Terra Noble while you participate in a hands-on clay
workshop using ancient artistic techniques. The Terra Noble Center
for the Arts was built with adobe and indigenous materials, and is
located on the highest point overlooking the bay. A relaxing,
creative and innovative experience.
TROPICAL
FOREST HORSEBACK RIDE OR BOTANICAL SAFARI: Travel
on horseback through the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains
and discover the natural wonders of the tropical forest. The
downhill ride home offers spectacular panoramic views of the bay
and Puerto Vallarta. You can take the
trail and appreciate the rich diversity of plant life found here.
The Sierra Madre mountains offer from jungle to pinecone trees due
to the change of altitude from the sea level. Half-day rides, with
horses for every level rider.

JEEP
SAFARI: A Safari tour
into the rugged Sierra Madre with you at the wheel. Follow

Sierra.

HOME TOUR: Stroll
through some of the most beautiful homes in Puerto
Vallarta and experience a Vallarta rarely seen. For
charitable purposes, a group of volunteers from the
International Friendship Club conduct this tour
where homes open their doors to visitors.
TOURS
TO SECLUDED BEACHES: There
are beautiful beaches on the Bay that only can be

| TURTLE
PROTECTION PROJECT:
From June to September,
turtles nest in Banderas Bay. The eggs are collected
by the authorities and transported to protected
areas. One is located at the Westin Regina Resort.
50 days after the turtles hatch, they are released
in a ceremony where the tourists can participate.
WHALE
WATCHING:

year from November to March the
humpback whales visit Banderas Bay
in search of warmer waters in order
to reproduce. |

| ARCHEOLOGICAL
MUSEUM: On the
Cuale River Island in the downtown area, this small
museum shows some of the pre-colombian artifacts
found in the area. Puerto Vallarta is located in the
most important archaeological site in western
Mexico. A protected area of 13 hectares will soon be
restored by archaeologists headed by the INAH
(National Institute of anthropology and History).
