Swimming in the lagoon

You board the HAUMANA at Noon on Saturday at Vaitape quay in Bora Bora, the "Pearl of the Pacific". Here you may discover the delights of the world-famous lagoon and white sand beaches, with a refreshing swim while playing Robinson Crusoe on Motu Tofari with a picnic on the beach. On Sunday night the ship departs for Tahaa, the "Vanilla Island", where you will spend Monday visiting a pearl farm and the friendly little village of Tiva rounding off the evening with an enjoyable family style dinner at "Chez mam Louise". Polynesians' international gathering place in olden days. The HAUMANA will anchor for the night in the lagoon on the west coast of the island, and the following day, Wednesday, you can visit Uturoa village and cruise up the Faaroa River to visit where the brave Maohi people set sail in their voyaging canoes that carried them to New Zealand, where it is believed that they eventually settled. Breakfast on Thursday morning will find the HAUMANA anchored in Fare bay on the "Magical Island" of Huahine. Your programmed activities on this lush island will take you through the main village of Fare and out to Maeva Village to see the archaeological sites and open air museum. On Friday morning you will have your breakfast in the lagoon and then you may wish to visit the land or lagoon on an optional tour with local guides. Your last sunset cruise takes you to Cook's Bay near the village of Fitii. You will disembark the HAUMANA at HUAHINE's Fare quay on Saturday morning.
