Atlantis wasn't designed to be visited. It was designed to be experienced.

With the world's largest marine habitat, the largest casino in the Caribbean, a 15 million dollar marina, lagoons, waterfalls and the underwater ruins of Atlantis itself...the Atlantis Paradise Island has achieved a distinctive combination of comfort and adventure unlike any other.

With the grand opening of the new 480 million dollar Royal Towers addition, there's no better time to visit. Some highlights include:
The Mayan Temple Water Slides which include:

  • Leap of Faith Slide: An almost 60 foot vertical drop propelling riders at speeds of 35 miles an hour culminating with a pass through a clear acrylic tunnel submerged in the shark filled lagoon

  • Serpent Slide: Spin through the temple's mysterious core then passes through a predator lagoon at a leisurely pace

  • The Challengers: Race down high speed dual slides

  • Jungle Slide: Meander through exotic caves and jungle

  • Cascades: a gentle water slide is interconnected with the kids pools

Other features include the Lazy River Ride which is the quarter mile meandering for tubing; Eleven pool areas; Paradise Lagoon, which boasts a 7 acre saltwater lagoon for snorkeling with thousands of tropical fish; Eleven saltwater habitats with over 100,000 marine animals comprising over 150 species.

Atlantis opens Aquaventure water park (03/05/2007)
By Gay Nagle Myers

Atlantis, Paradise Island in the Bahamas continues to raise the bar in terms of over-the-top attractions.

Aquaventure, a 63-acre water park with 81 lifeguard stations, opened March 2.

Aquaventure has water slides and a mile-long ride with rapids, wave surges and special effects. Once guests are in their inner tubes and enter the attraction, they are moved along by water escalators and surges. In fact, riders never have to leave the water, as they are propelled up the water slide tower via conveyors.

The 120-foot-high Power Tower offers a choice of four descents. The Abyss drops riders 50 vertical feet into near darkness through a tumbling waterfall. The Drop, The Falls and The Surge are three inner-tube slides that create roller coaster effects from jets of water that propel riders up and down at a fast pace.

Surrounding the Power Tower is a river ride system with waves pushing inner-tube riders through seven-foot-high elevations and drops, rapids and up to the Power Tower.

Special effects throughout the water park are used to convey fire, smoke, fog and darkness.

Admission to Aquaventure is free for Atlantis guests.

Not to mention world class dining, personalized service and amenities. It's everything you've ever dreamed of.

Vacation packages with meals plans do not include a 15% service charge and will require direct payment by passenger
