This charming island is like a miniature Holland nestled in the Caribbean. Along with friendly people, lively casinos and gentle warm breezes, Curacao is rich in architecture and boasts a national park overflowing with exotic flora and fauna. Whether you choose to dive in beautiful Caribbean waters, tour the capital of Willemstad, or explore the Hato Caves, once inhabited by the Arowak Indians, this intriguing island is a wonderful place for spending carefree days.

Curacao boasts one of the largest deep-sea natural harbors in the world. Access to the ocean is through the narrow St. Anna Bay. Expansion in past centuries has resulted in Willemstad having grown on both sides of the Bay. To make transportation between these parts possible, a pontoon bridge was constructed in the 19th century. Now, besides its function as a bridge, it is also a major attraction for visitors to this town. The locals call it "the swinging old lady".
